Good news for the tourism sector as Warwick Hotels and Resorts has planned a major $200 million expansion and renovation programme across its properties in Fiji over the next 30 months.
Speaking about the group’s expansion plans during a cocktail event at the resort along the Coral Coast, Warwick Resorts and Hotels President Richard Chiu says 100 new rooms will be built next to the Naviti Resort, while architectural plans have been approved for an additional 82 rooms at the Tokatoka Resort.
Chiu says a 550 square metre ballroom, one of the largest in the area, an additional swimming pool and a new food and beverage facility is also planned.
He says the existing 108 rooms and suites at Warwick Fiji and the Naviti Resort are also being upgraded or renovated.
He says all 25 villas at Tambua Sands are planned for renovation, with some to have private plunge pools.
The hotel chain president says in Warwick Le Lagon in Vanuatu, they are planning to add another 100 rooms to the resort and all existing keys will either be upgraded or renovated, a new spa will be constructed replacing the existing one.
Chiu says the group expects the expansion and renovation programme to help double its revenue over the next five years.
He has also announced the imminent listing of the major subsidiary of Warwick Hotels and Resorts in Fiji and the South Pacific, on the South Pacific Stock Exchange.
