McDonald's Fiji Drua Women coach Mike Legge says the NSW Waratahs showed his side what it takes to win a grand final after defeating the Drua 34-17 in the Super W Grand Final at 4R Stadium in Govind Park, Ba yesterday.
Speaking to fijivillage News after the match, Legge said he was proud of his players despite the defeat, saying the Waratahs were composed and clinical throughout the game.
He says the team probably chose the grand final to play its worst game of the season, but there are massive lessons to be learned from the defeat.
Legge says the lessons learned from the final will make the team stronger as it looks to push for another Super W Grand Final next season.
Despite suffering their first loss of the season in the title decider, Legge thanked the fans for their outstanding support throughout the campaign.
Legge also thanked the players' families and friends for supporting the team throughout the season.
