Police Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu says the investigation into the death of Lami Police Constable Peniasi Racagi is with the Office of the DPP, with police awaiting legal advice before taking further action.
Tudravu was responding to questions on the case during the Police Remembrance Day today.
He says the Police Force understands the concerns of Racagi’s family and the general public about the progress of the investigation.
However, Tudravu says police are guided by established processes and systems.
He says questions about the early arrest made in the case are also part of the investigation process.
Constable Peniasi Racagi was murdered in Lami on the 22nd of February this year.
Police had earlier stated that their investigations focused into two avenues of the officer's death and Police involvement.
