The mother of 8-year-old Ansh Chand, Kriteshni Kritika, is appealing for assistance to help meet his medical and basic living expenses after he was diagnosed with nephrotic syndrome.
Nephrotic syndrome is a kidney condition that causes the body to lose too much protein through urine, which can lead to swelling and shortness of breath.
Kritika says the family has been struggling to meet the cost of Ansh’s medical needs, food and rent following the death of his father.
She says she is also unwell, and the family is currently relying on social welfare assistance, which is not enough to cover their daily needs and Ansh’s medical expenses.
Kritika is now appealing to members of the public for any assistance, whether financial or in kind, to provide some relief for the family and support Ansh’s treatment and wellbeing.
