The programme brought children and their parents together for a museum tour, and visual arts workshop led by local artists Sam Yunus and Mere Rasue.
The workshop focused on basic portrait drawing, giving children the opportunity to develop their artistic skills while expressing their own ideas and creativity.
Yunus says programmes like the Veiqia Project are important in encouraging and supporting the next generation of young artists.
She says every child brings their own ideas and uniqueness to art, making the workshop a learning experience for everyone involved.
Yunus is encouraging young people interested in art to have confidence in themselves, explore their talents and be willing to step outside their comfort zones.
She says there are many opportunities for young people to develop their creativity and pursue their dreams.
More activities, including online exhibitions, are also being planned as part of the Veiqia Project.
