Roylux Realty Ba FC players will be rewarded for their historic BiC Fiji FACT 2026 triumph, with the squad set to share the club's $17,000 winners' prize money and receive an additional bonus.
Ba ended a 16-year wait for the Fiji FACT title after defeating IRA Group Navua FC 3-1 in a penalty shootout following a scoreless draw after extra time in the grand final at Subrail Park in Labasa.
Ba Association President Praneel Dayal confirms that the players will receive their share of the prize money, saying they deserve to be recognised for their commitment and outstanding performances throughout the tournament.
Dayal says the players worked extremely hard and fully deserve the reward for bringing the Fiji FACT trophy back to Ba.
He says while celebrations have already begun among the club's supporters, plans for an official victory celebration are yet to be finalised.
He adds that the association will meet soon to discuss its plans, but for now the team's focus has shifted back to the Extra Premier League.
Dayal says he has been overwhelmed by the messages of congratulations and phone calls received from supporters, former players and well-wishers since Ba's triumph.
He thanked everyone for believing in the team and supporting them throughout their journey.
He also acknowledged the efforts of the coaching staff, management, players and executives, saying the title was the result of months of dedication, sacrifice and teamwork.
Dayal says the success belongs to everyone involved with Ba Football and thanked those working behind the scenes for helping make the achievement possible.
He adds that, with the Fiji FACT trophy secured, the Men in Black are determined to maintain their winning form as they continue their campaign in the Extra Premier League, where they will host Nadi FC at 3pm this Sunday.
