Fiji Football Association Women’s Super League returns with an expanded and more competitive 2026 season as Digicel Fiji continues its long-standing support for women’s football in the country.
Digicel Fiji says the country’s top tier of women’s football has been streamlined this year to feature six elite teams, including the addition of Lautoka Women’s Football Club, in a move aimed at strengthening competition and improving the pathway to national selection.
They say the league continues to grow in both visibility and standard, with established sides such as Ba Women FC and Labasa Women FC expected to again set the pace in the new season.
Digicel Fiji has reaffirms its commitment as title sponsor, saying its support is focused on developing opportunities for women and young girls in football through its “With You” campaign.
Digicel Fiji CEO Farid Mohammed says football is more than just a sport, describing it as a platform that can change lives and build confidence among young athletes.
He says the company remains committed to supporting players from grassroots level through to elite competition, ensuring they are given opportunities to grow and succeed.
Fiji Football Association President Rajesh Patel says Digicel’s continued support has been instrumental in the development of women’s football in Fiji.
He says the partnership has helped expand opportunities for female players and strengthen development pathways, adding that the league continues to inspire young girls across the country to pursue the sport.
The Women’s Super League, established in 2021, has developed into a key national platform showcasing some of Fiji’s most promising female footballers and remains central to the growth of women’s football in the country.
