A Nakasi resident has raised concerns over alleged overnight liquor sales and disturbances linked to a shop on Ramesh Patel Street, off Vishnu Deo Road in Nakasi.
The resident, who wishes to remain anonymous, claims the shop operates as a liquor outlet throughout the night, causing disturbances for people living nearby.
He alleges that private vehicles and taxis arrive at the shop throughout the night, with people gathering in the area to drink alcohol and play loud music.
The resident says intoxicated people sometimes fight in the area and bang on the fences of neighbouring properties.
He says concerns have been raised with the Nakasi Police Station, but claims no action has been taken to address the issue.
The resident is calling on the relevant authorities to urgently look into the matter, saying they want peace and quiet in their neighbourhood.
Meanwhile, Police have said that they will look into the issue.
