Former Yat Sen Secondary School Head Girl Lydia Kondaiya says it is a great feeling to reunite with former students, many of whom she has not seen in five to six years.
Kondaiya, who was Head Girl in 2021, says the four-day celebrations have been well organised, with former students travelling from overseas to be part of the milestone celebrations.
She says the dedication shown by former students to make the journey home, book accommodation and reconnect with one another reflects the special bond created during their school years.
Kondaiya says the celebrations are a reminder of the memories shared at Yat Sen, while also giving different generations an opportunity to come together again.
She also has a message for current Yat Sen students, encouraging them to enjoy their time at school, stay focused and make the most of every opportunity available to them.
The Yat Sen 90th anniversary and Yat Sen Primary School 40th anniversary celebrations continue tomorrow with the Black Tie Gala at the Vodafone Arena, followed by Family Day on Sunday.
