A 41-year-old man and his 35-year-old wife are in custody after Police say they were found with white powder believed to be illicit drugs and burglary tools in their vehicle in Dokanaisuva.
Police say the couple were stopped and their vehicle was checked at a checkpoint at around 1am yesterday.
They say the vehicle had an expired wheel tax and the man, who was driving, did not have a valid drivers licence.
The couple remains in custody as Police investigations continue.
