The four men from Waikerekere Village in Veisari who were reported missing at sea after failing to return from a fishing trip in the Waiqanake coastal area yesterday afternoon have returned safely to shore.
The Police Command and Coordination Centre has confirmed that all four men made it back to land safely.
Police had earlier said that 19-year-old Semesa Ravudi, 23-year-old Henry Hiramatsu, 24-year-old Tomasi Koroivosa and 30-year-old Alifereti Kubunavanua had left in a 12-foot white fibreglass boat equipped with a paddle and a push pole.
Police said the men had no means of communication, while earlier searches carried out by villagers along the coast had been unsuccessful.
