The Yaro Chiefs have made history by winning the McDonald’s Coral Coast 7s men’s title on their first-ever appearance at the tournament, defeating Ravuka Sharks 28–12 in a commanding final at Lawaqa Park.

The village based team went undefeated throughout the tournament, capping off a dream run with a powerful performance in the final.

Their debut victory marks a major milestone for the Chiefs and for village rugby representation on the national stage.

In the Women’s division, the Fijiana 7s successfully defended their title, beating China 1 22–5. Captain Verenaisi Bari told fijivillage Sports the win is a strong start as they build towards the new World Rugby Sevens Series season.

Meanwhile, in the Bred Bank Youth Final, Brisk Birdland Brothers were crowned champions after edging Village Boys 19–12 in another thrilling finish.
