Savoka says the group, which the New Zealand High Commission in Fiji funds, has expanded over the years and now delivers a range of economic empowerment initiatives in rural villages.
She says the programs include beekeeping, handicraft training, backyard gardening and capacity-building workshops aimed at improving the livelihoods of women and families in Taveuni.
Savoka adds that the group is also addressing growing social concerns affecting communities in Fiji.

The campaigns have been done in the five schools and several villages across Taveuni with support from the Fiji Police Force, Ministry of Health, Child Protection services and the Online Safety Commission.
According to Savoka, the awareness sessions focused on issues such as teenage pregnancy and school dropout.
She says communication is a big issue for them due to poor connection in Taveuni affecting their coordination efforts, while there is also a need for trained counsellors to provide proper counselling support to women who face violence in rural communities.Savoka is encouraging women to believe in themselves and remain confident in their abilities, saying every woman is unique and capable of achieving success in life.
