FICAC prosecutor Setefano Komaibaba informed the court that he requires 14 days to file a formal reply.
He also confirmed that FICAC has received letters of representation from both defence lawyers.
Magistrate Joseph Daurewa has granted one month for the parties to address the issues.
Earlier, Sagar's lawyer, Ritesh Singh requested more specific information about the alleged $84,000 loss to better understand the particulars of the charge.
Sayed-Khaiyum and Sagar have both pleaded not guilty to charges relating to the tender and procurement of a 3.0-litre Volkswagen Touareg valued at $207,470.
The matter has been adjourned to August 13th.
The trial remains scheduled to run from November 2nd to November 6th.
