A home security alarm foiled an attempted break-in at a house along Nokonoko Road in Laucala Beach last night, with the homeowner now sharing CCTV footage to alert residents in the area.
The homeowner sent the footage to fijivillage News, saying the incident happened at around 10.18pm.
He says four people were inside the house at the time and had switched on the alarm before going to bed.
He says the suspect was seen entering the compound and making his way onto the verandah before fleeing as soon as the alarm was activated.
The homeowner says he called police to report the matter, and they said an officer would attend to it.
However, the homeowner asked them not to come as it was late at night.
He says he decided to share the incident to raise awareness among residents and encourage people to remain vigilant.
