Serious concerns are being raised by some patients and their families as the sterilizer equipment for the CWM Maternity Hospital is not working.
When asked by fijivillage News on the concerns being raised, CWM Hospital Medical Superintendent, Doctor Luke Nasedra confirms the maternity sterilizer is currently down, and this has been the case from last week.
He says it was attended to by the technicians but unfortunately it still has not worked.
Doctor Nasedra says they have utilized another sterilizer in the hospital.
He says the turnaround is a bit slow and the team is working collaboratively to ensure they continue to deliver the services safely.
Doctor Nasedra confirms they are currently working on the final phase of the installation of a much bigger sterilizer which should be operational before the end of the year.
