Saimoni Rokotunidau, who is charged with the attempted murder of a female police officer in Laqere and unlawful possession of methamphetamine, has pleaded not guilty.
Rokotunidau appeared in court after previously being unable to do so as he had been admitted to hospital since the 13th of last month.
He still had a bandage on his face and had difficulty walking.
The alleged offences occurred on 26th April this year.
The matter has been adjourned to 8th October.
