Imran Khan, also known as "King Khan", has been handed a prison sentence of 4 years and 3 months after being convicted of unlawful possession of illicit drugs.
Magistrate Yogesh Prasad had earlier convicted Khan after he was found with 4.1364 grams of methamphetamine in Suva on 7th February 2023.
During sentencing, Magistrate Prasad said that methamphetamine is highly addictive.
He said the courts must come down hard on drug offenders.
He added that the drugs were found at the bottom of a bottle compartment, which under ordinary investigation would have been difficult to locate.
A non-parole period of 3 years has been set.
Khan has 28 days to appeal.
