Assistant Minister for Agriculture, Waterways, and Sugar Industry Inosi Kuridrani has passed away.
Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has confirmed in Parliament this morning that he passed away last night.
He extended his condolences to Kuridrani’s family and the Vanua.
Speaker of Parliament Filimone Jitoko also extended his condolences.
He also says those who know his background and where he came from, and those who had the privilege of working with him, know his work ethic and achievements. He says it would be in keeping with his character and persona for Parliament to continue with its work uninterrupted as scheduled.
He says they do so today and for the rest of this week in honour and tribute to the late Inosi Kuridrani.
A moment of silence was also observed in Parliament.
Other Members of Parliament are also extending their condolences to the late Kuridrani’s family.
