Hooda ready to face Nanovu despite spending first Diwali since marriage away from home

Indian boxer Aarti Hooda says she is fit and ready to face Laite Nanovu in the Zeg Boxing Promotion Light Flyweight title fight tomorrow at the Vodafone Arena.

Hooda, who is from Haryana, India, says her preparations have been going very well, and she has been working hard to ensure she is ready to fight for the title.

She says when she faced Nanovu last year, she was unable to train as much due to an injury but still managed to secure a victory.

Hooda says she is in much better shape this year and is confident heading into tomorrow's fight.

She says this is her first Diwali since getting married, and although she is away from her family, achieving her dreams and goals remains her priority.

Hooda says she does not feel like she is away from her home country because of the love and support she has received from the Indo-Fijian community and other Fijians.

She also wishes everyone a happy Diwali and thanks the people of Fiji for making her feel welcome.

The Zeg Boxing Promotion event will be held at Vodafone Arena tomorrow, with fights scheduled to begin at 5pm.
