As part of the promotions for his upcoming film Border 2, actor Varun Dhawan met with the family of the late Param Vir Chakra awardee Colonel Hoshiar Singh Dahiya, the Indian Army officer he plays in the film.
During a pre-release event, Colonel Dahiya’s wife reportedly blessed Varun and appreciated his performance, expressing confidence that the film would do well.
In visuals widely shared on social media, Varun was seen humbly accepting her blessings and thanking her for the kind words.
Border 2 pays tribute to the bravery of Indian soldiers during the 1971 Indo-Pakistan war and Varun’s role highlights one of the most decorated heroes of that conflict.
