Suva Grammar School have beaten Ratu Kadavulevu School 24-15 in the Vodafone Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby Union Super Deans Under-17 final.
Grammar drew first blood, taking a 12-0 lead before RKS hit back through Isaac Yalimaiwai to reduce the deficit to 12-7.
Napoleon Bulivakaca then extended Grammar’s lead with a converted try, giving the boys from Nasese a 17-7 advantage at halftime.
RKS struck first in the second half, kicking a penalty to keep themselves within reach at 17-10.
Jolame Suguturaga extended Grammar’s lead to 24-10 before RKS had the final say with a try in the corner.
However, it was too little too late, with Grammar holding on for the 24-15 victory.
Navatu Secondary School is currently playing Lelean Memorial School in the Under-19 final.
This will be followed by the Weet-Bix Raluve Under-18 final between Lomary Secondary School and MGM High School.
The Under-18 final between Grammar and Lelean is coming up at 5pm to round off the games this afternoon.
In other results this morning, Ratu Navula College defeated QVS 22-17 to claim the Under-14 title.
RKS beat Marist Brothers High School 17-15 to claim the Under-15 title, while Grammar defeated QVS 40-12 in the Under-16 final.
Nasinu Secondary School beat Saint Vincent College 15-0 in the Weet-Bix Raluve Under-16 final, while Nasinu also defeated Ra High School 30-15 in the Under-18 third-place play-off.
