Defending Wallaroos Player of the Year Tabua Tuinakauvadra is relishing her return to camp as she works her way back to full fitness.
The number eight has joined the Wallaroos in the UK ahead of Saturday’s clash against defending World Cup champions England in Manchester.
After an injury-hit 2026 season, Tuinakauvadra is targeting the matches against France and Scotland as an ideal opportunity to return to action.
The powerhouse backrower tore the meniscus in her right knee at the start of the year, ruling her out of the Pacific Four series.
She eventually returned for Super Rugby W, but suffered a low-grade MCL injury in her other knee after returning to club rugby.
Tuinakauvadra says the injuries forced her to reassess her goals for the year.
The Wallaroos star has spent much of the year watching from the sidelines and is eager to return to the field.
She says she had particularly missed the opportunity to play and build on last year’s progress.
The Wallaroos have returned to Manchester, where they were based at the start of last year’s Rugby World Cup.
A full crowd is expected at CorpAcq Stadium for Saturday’s clash with England, where Australia will look to build on their previous success at the venue after recording a 73-0 win over Samoa, their biggest victory in World Cup history.
