HOTEC 2026 opens with focus on sustainable tourism and regional partnerships
HOTEC offers operators opportunities to connect with suppliers closer to home. Stronger local and regional sourcing can help reduce transport-related environmental impacts while delivering greater economic benefits to businesses and communities.

Minister for Tourism, Viliame Gavoka highlighted this during the Fiji Hotel and Tourism Association’s HOTEC 2026 tradeshow opening at the Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort and Spa today.

This event provides a practical platform for businesses to build partnerships, explore new products and strengthen supply chains, with exhibitors from Fiji, New Zealand, Australia, New Caledonia, Canada, the United States and Japan.

Gavoka also commended the event’s focus on operationalising sustainability, in line with Fiji’s National Sustainable Tourism Framework.

The opening reinforced the importance of continued collaboration between Government and the private sector in advancing tourism development.

The Fiji Hotel and Tourism Association acknowledges the Government’s continued engagement with the industry and thanked its sponsors, exhibitors and event partners for supporting HOTEC 2026.
