Flying Fijians must improve scrum discipline ahead of Scotland Test - Seruvakula
FIJI Water Flying Fijians Acting head coach Senirusi Seruvakula says improving scrum discipline and reducing penalties will be a key focus before Sunday's Test against Scotland.

Following Fiji's embarassing 73-8 defeat to England, Seruvakula says his side conceded too many penalties before the scrum was even fully engaged, whether through their bind, applying too much pressure or not enough.

He says at international level every team has a strong scrum, and there is a constant battle between opposing front rows to gain an advantage.

Seruvakula says England gained the upper hand at the set-piece, not because they physically dominated Fiji, but because too many 50-50 situations resulted in the referee making decisions against the Flying Fijians.

He says the front row must take responsibility and ensure they do not give referees reasons to penalise them, adding that the team will work on fixing those issues during the week.

The Flying Fijians will now turn their focus to their Test against Scotland, which kicks off at 1.10am on Sunday at Scottish Gas Murrayfield.

In other games, the All Blacks play Ireland at 7.10am Saturday, Japan will meet France at 8.40pm, while the Wallabies will face Italy at 10.10pm.

On Sunday, the Springboks will host Wales at 3.40am, while the Pumas will meet England at 7.10am.
