Fiji 7s stars featured in new Coca-Cola collectible campaign

Fiji 7s stars Iowane Teba, Rauto Vakadranu, Filipe Sauturaga, Vuiviawa Naduvalo and Joseva Talacolo are being featured in a new collectible campaign celebrating the moments the national team has created for the country.

From October 2nd to November 30th, the players will feature on Coca-Cola Classic and Coca-Cola Zero Sugar 330ml cans, 600ml bottles and 2.25-litre bottles.

Speaking at the launch of the Coca Cola x FRU Rugby 7s collectible campaign at Albert Park, Suva, Coca-Cola Europacific Partners Fiji Country Director Pacific Islands Ryan Mahoney says the campaign is about building awareness and celebrating the special moments Fiji 7s has brought to the country.

Mahoney says the campaign gives Fijians an opportunity to relive proud moments created by the national 7s teams, including Olympic gold medal victories.

He says Coca-Cola’s partnership with the Fiji Rugby Union extends from grassroots rugby through to the senior men’s and women’s teams.

Mahoney says rugby remains an all-encompassing sport in Fiji, with the country coming to a standstill whenever the national teams take the field.

Meanwhile, Fiji Rugby Union Director Commercial Tevita Tuiloa says the campaign will allow children across Fiji to see their heroes and be inspired to dream of representing the country.

Tuiloa says featuring the players on products that reach households across Fiji provides a platform to promote the national 7s team.

He says players such as Talacolo once had the same dream of representing Fiji, and their images can now inspire the next generation to believe those dreams are possible.

The Dubai 7s will kick off the 2026/2027 HSBC SVNS World Sevens Series on 28th and 29th of next month, followed by the Cape Town 7s on December 5th and 6th.

The Singapore 7s will be held on January 30th and 31st, 2027, followed by the Perth 7s on February 6th and 7th, the Vancouver 7s on March 6th and 7th, and the New York 7s on March 13th and 14th.

The SVNS World Championship will begin with the Hong Kong 7s from April 9th to 11th, followed by the Valladolid 7s from May 21st to 23rd, before concluding in Bordeaux from May 28th to 30th.

The Fiji Men’s 7s team finished second in the 2025/2026 SVNS World Series and sixth in the SVNS World Championship.
