We need to develop the employment market to ensure that we do not continue to lose workers to the overseas market.

Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka stated this while opening the 2023 BSP Life Fiji Human Resources Institute Annual Convention in Nadi and adds that we are losing our skilled and semi-skilled workers.

Rabuka highlighted that managing resources is critical and crucial for any organisation therefore it is crucial to develop and be involved with such institutions as they would be able to create an atmosphere of growth.

He stated that if everyone contributes then it would create an atmosphere of confidence not only to grow but also to grow their employment numbers.

The Prime Minister has acknowledged the Fiji Human Resources Institute for their work and has called on civil servants to join and learn from leaders of the institute.

He encourages everyone to work with the Institute including those in Parliament and Cabinet in order to learn more about what they can do to better those that they lead or command.
