Darshika Raj of Labasa who lost her job due to the impacts of COVID-19 has managed to start her own greeting cards business.

During the launch of her ‘Just Say It’ business which is located at The Corner Bakery in Tamavua, Raj says she used to work for a magazine company.

She says there were a lot of internship opportunities available but nothing made her happy and things got really tough as she could not pay her rent and had to return to Labasa.

Raj adds after sometime she decided to return to Suva and look for a job again and she came up with the idea to start her own business from meme based greeting cards which is now a real brand.

She thanked everyone who has supported her and says she wants to continue with this idea as it is very profitable.

While officiating at the launch of Raj’s business, Permanent Secretary for Commerce, Trade, Tourism and Transport, Shaheen Ali congratulated Raj for her gutsy effort in establishing her business and says she is an inspiration for fellow Fijian youth and other aspiring entrepreneurs.

He is encouraging all Fijians to pursue their dreams and passion, use that skill and God-given talent to create new things, inspire others and earn an income.
