Being a school dropout and ending up on the streets to survive did not deter 32-year-old, Adi Kelera Qereitoga to continue to strive to become an entrepreneur to support her child.

Adi Kelera says she was once a drug addict, a school dropout and was on the street when she thought that her family has given up on her.

Adi Kelera was employed by Hilton Resort in Nadi before resigning to assist the Bua Province that was severely affected by Cyclone Yasa.

The 32-year old says being an unemployed single mum, she faces many challenges in her everyday life on how to support her child and came up with the idea of starting a business.

She adds she started with her second-hand clothing business for a month until she realized that there was more demand in making handmade tekiteki with matching ear rings.

Adi Kelera also says there are many women in Fiji who are facing the same challenges and she is encouraging all women out there to love themselves first and believe that they are not alone.

Adi Kelera has also opened up a Facebook account for her business called Yalo Re Closet.
