We do have all the right ingredients to be the formidable player in terms of the outsourcing sector.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for External Trade, SMEs and Cooperatives Manoa Kamikamica highlighted this and commended Outsource Fiji for their efforts to promote Fiji as an outsourcing destination of choice.

Kamikamica adds when he was in the BPO Council, they were in the process of setting up a bank account, and here they are talking about initiatives that will help Fiji attract larger players, so clearly, they need to understand how the Government can continue to help.

He says the outsourcing industry hits all the right spots in terms of diversifying the economy; growing opportunities for the youth population, especially with the great literacy rates, and we speak great English as well.

Outsource Fiji Executive Director, Sagufta Janif highlighted that the industry body is grateful to see the Government’s support towards the industry as it is still in its infant stages and has the ability to become one of the leading sectors in Fiji’s economy.

Janif says she wishes to acknowledge the former Government, as well as the incoming Government for putting Fiji’s outsourcing industry in its priority list.
