Fiji Airways boosts connectivity with new ATR aircraft and Fiji Link uniforms

Fiji Airways has welcomed two new ATR aircraft to its fleet, strengthening its extensive network and providing enhanced connectivity across Fiji and the South Pacific.

They say the first of these new ATRs arrived on December 29th, with the second aircraft following on Sunday.

Fiji Airways says this expansion supports Fiji Airways’ ongoing efforts to improve domestic capacity and better serve regional communities, particularly in Northern Fiji.

They say the two ATR 72-600 aircraft, each with a seating capacity of 68, will be primarily used on Fiji Airways’ regional routes, including those servicing the Northern and Western Divisions of Fiji.

The national airline says over time, additional ATR aircraft will be introduced to further enhance capacity and enable more frequent and efficient services on key domestic routes such as Nadi-Suva and Labasa.

They say this expansion will significantly improve connectivity and accessibility across Fiji’s regional network.

Fiji Airways further says this move aligns with Fiji Airways’ broader strategy to enhance their Nadi Hub through connectivity and improve travel options for passengers, particularly those connecting between domestic and international services.

Fiji Airways CEO and Managing Director Andre Viljoen says these two new ATR aircraft are a significant investment in Fiji’s domestic connectivity.

He says they are an important part of their commitment to providing comfortable and efficient travel options for passengers and offering greater connectivity between the islands.

Viljoen says this fleet expansion will also help them continue to meet the growing demand for domestic travel, ensuring they can provide increased capacity where it’s needed most.

Fiji Airways also says Fiji Link has launched new uniforms for its staff, which are now aligned with the signature Fiji Airways uniform.

They say this uniform change is part of the airline’s effort to further standardize the company’s branding across all divisions, ensuring a consistent, professional, and unified look for both Fiji Airways and Fiji Link team members.

They say the new uniforms reflect the vibrant and modern image of Fiji Airways, while incorporating the Fiji Link’s young cultural heritage.

Fiji Airways also says this change is designed to create a cohesive visual identity for all staff members, from the front line to the cabin crew, and is aligned with the airline’s strategy to improve customer experience and enhance the overall brand image.

Viljoen says the uniforms bring them closer to their goal of a unified brand.

He says the standardization of the uniforms across Fiji Airways and Fiji Link reflects their ongoing commitment to excellence and professionalism, ensuring that the crew represents the highest standards of service, and passengers enjoy a seamless, consistent experience.
