$15 million Damodar City Labasa cinema complex opens, 50 jobs created

It is a joyful day for the people of Vanua Levu as the Damodar City Labasa cinemas opened this morning.

Chief Executive Officer of Damodar Group of Companies, Div Damodar says they have made a $15 million investment into the project and it is a direct investment into Vanua Levu.

He says 50 new jobs have been created after the opening of the 3 cinemas, and they expect indirect employment through events management options into the new year.

Damodar says they are also grateful to the coalition government for creating the right environment for local investments to expand in Fiji.
