President of the 1990s Decade, Portia Domonatani-Dugu, says tonight is not just about celebrating the 90s, but about reconnecting with people they have not met for a long time.
She says one of her best memories of Saint Joseph’s Secondary School was attending classes with talented and beautiful young women.
Dugu says she is also grateful for the opportunity to meet some of the older Saint Joseph’s alumni.
The night was filled with fun activities, including a quiz where groups had to answer questions about the ’90s, current affairs and much more.
Prizes were awarded to the groups that answered the most questions correctly, as well as for the funkiest group names.
The night concluded with the opening of the dance floor, where women from different walks of life came together and showed off their dance moves.
Tomorrow, the celebrations continue with Jubilee Celebration Day at 9am at the SJSS School Hall.
This will be followed by a Pure Fiji tour and shopping experience at 12.30pm, and the SJSS Alumnae March at 3pm at the SJSS Sports Field.
The Platinum Legacy Cocktail and Fashion Show will then take centre stage at 6pm at the Fiji Museum Deck.
On Saturday, the Pacific Market Day will be held from 9.30am at the SJSS School Hall, celebrating the diversity and richness of the Pacific.
The celebrations will reach one of their major highlights that evening with the Pacific Elegance Gala at 6pm at the Vodafone Arena.
The week-long milestone celebration will conclude on Sunday with a Closing Mass at 1pm at Sacred Heart Cathedral.
