The 21-year-old caught the eye of Drua head coach Brad Mooar with his physicality, versatility and potential, earning him a place in the club’s development pathway.
Boselawa only began playing rugby at 19 after previously playing soccer at Nadrala Sangam School and Sigatoka Methodist College.
He later represented Nadrala Rugby Club and Nadroga.
Boselawa who hails from Naduri, Macuata, says he was grateful and emotional after signing his first contract with the Drua.
Mooar says Boselawa immediately stood out during the Skipper Cup match in Lautoka and praised his potential.
The signing highlights the Drua’s commitment to developing local talent and creating pathways from Fiji’s domestic competitions to Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific.
Boselawa now hopes to continue developing his game and earn an opportunity to represent the Drua in front of Fiji’s passionate home supporters.
