Two people were rushed to hospital this morning after an accident at Nabua three miles.

An eye witness told Fijivillage that the accident happened between a bus and a carrier which was on its way to Suva.

According to the eye witness, the driver of the carrier allegedly crossed the red light and hit the bus and as a result two people who were in the carrier received injuries.

Police are expected to release more details later.

Meanwhile, the Land Transport Authority said LTA officers are constantly monitoring and patrolling on the road but it is impossible for officers to be stationed full time at all crossing lights.

However, LTA is hopeful that the introduction of red and speed light cameras will assist in this area, where all drivers breaking rules will be caught on camera.
