A senior Police officer Pita Keni appeared at the Nadi Magistrates Court yesterday charged with failure to render assistance and resisting or obstructing officers .
The Court heard that Keni while being a public servant, an Assistant Superintendent of the Fiji Police Force between the 29th day of September 2013 and 21st day of March this year at Nadi without reasonable excuse failed to render assistance to FICAC Commission Officer namely Jeremaia Natoko.
He is alleged to have refused to provide information requested by Natoko that is relevant to the bribery case against Former Acting Inspector Timoci Naulu.
He was granted bail and he has to submit travel documents and must not leave his residence that is at the Police quarters in Lautoka.
His case will be recalled on the 14th of next month.
