Boxing Day used for relaxation

Today is Boxing Day.

Though the origins are unknown, Boxing Day has many traditions with many in England using this day to give money and other gifts to those who were needy.

In the European tradition, metal boxes placed outside churches were used to collect special offerings.

However for many gifts are given to their friends and relatives thanking them for their hard work.

For many around the country, today is a day of relaxation.

Fijivillage spoke to a few people who reveal that today will be spent cleaning up after their feasting yesterday and will also see them box up their decorations and put their gift wrappers away.

However for others it is another day at the seaside to spend with their children.
