Organisers of the Uprising Fiji International 7s are liasing with another top rugby club in New Zealand to replace Manawatu in the tournament next month after they pulled out due to financial constraints.
Co-ordinator, Randall Kamea said despite this the New Zealand Maori team will still try to be the outright winners at the two day tournament.
Kamea said that it will be interesting to see how close the competition will be with some big names coming in.
Teams from Fiji, Samoa, Tonga, New Caledonia, Samurai International, New Zealand Maori, US Grizzlies, France Development and Ponsonby Club, alongside two local clubs, Uprising 7's team and Nadroga will take part.
The Uprising Fiji International 7s will be held on the 21st and 22nd of next month at the TFL Stadium.
The teams will be battling for the $20,000 prize money.
