Low water levels experienced at the Wainibuku Reservoir is resulting in water disruptions in the Suva/Nausori corridor.

Water Authority of Fiji's Corporate Communications Manager, Michelle Tevita Singh said the areas affected are Lelean memorial school, Farm road, Koronivia, Nakasi, Davuilevu Housing, Tovata, Makoi, Tuirara, Qaranivalu road, Naveiwakau, Newtown, Cunningham and high areas of Caubati.

She said supply is expected to be restored by this evening.

Meanwhile, continuing upgrading works at Tamavua and Waila treatment plants is also resulting in water disruption in the Suva Nausori Corridor and people have been urged to store water immediately if they are still getting water.

The areas affected includes all areas along the Suva/Nausori corridor, including villages in Tailevu south, the Rewa Delta including the district of Toga, Samabula, Wailoku, Delainavesi, Lami, Veisari and Togalevu.

Supply is expected to be restored by tomorrow morning.

Singh says trucks will be carting water to affected areas however people are expected to call the Authority and advise them which areas are not receiving water currently.
