Fijians affected by TC Evan are being urged by the Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama to take advantage of the assistance being provided by all agencies including government.
Commodore Bainimarama said he has instructed all Ministers to continue visiting every part of the country to look at ways that they can offer assistance from their respective portfolios.
At a briefing held at the DISMAC office yesterday, Prime Minister Bainimarama briefed officials on his recent tour of the Yasawa group and has called on authorities to ensure that consistency be maintained in providing assistance.
The Prime Minister paid tribute to all Fijians working tirelessly to bring relief to those affected by TC Evan.
Commodore Bainimarama thanked all Fijians who have been working long hours away from their families by sacrificing their Christmas to help those affected.
He also commended the hard work of officials in their undertaking effort to restore basic services and facilities however said that there is still a long way to go.
