The Choir competition will not be part of the Annual Conference of the Methodist Church in Fiji in August this year.
The church made a request to the Police in March this year to have the weeklong conference including the choir competition.
General Secretary Reverend Tevita Nawadra said the decision was relayed by Police Commissioner Brigadier General Iowane Naivalurua yesterday.
It has been confirmed that the church has been given four days for the annual conference.
Assistant Commissioner of Police, Rusiate Tudravu said the decision was made by the Commissioner after wide consultations with a number of people.
Tudravu said he cannot comment further.
The Annual Conference will now be held at the Centenary Church from the 26th to the 29th of August.
