Fiji's Acting High Commissioner to Australia Kamlesh Arya has spoken out in a major conference in Australia saying that no amount of pressure can deter Fiji from having elections in 2014.
While speaking in a question/answer session in a conference at Australia's parliament house in Canberra, Arya made it clear that the constitution will be changed despite the pressure from countries like Australia and NZ.
Meanwhile, Arya remains in an acting capacity in Canberra.
There is no word on whether his status will be upgraded after the calls made by Fiji's Prime Minister.
