Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama will reveal his assets, income and liabilities within the next few weeks as he gets ready to register the proposed Fiji First Party.
While calls have been made for the salaries of the Prime Minister and all the ministers to be made public, Bainimarama has maintained that he will make the declaration when he applies for the registration of the party.
While speaking in Sigatoka to people who turned up in numbers to support the proposed Fiji First, Bainimarama said he will follow the law and declare his assets, income and liabilities soon.
He said that some people have been spreading rumours that he has $1.2 million in his bank account.
He stressed to people that these are just rumours and are not true.
Bainimarama is back at work today after taking leave earlier in the week to gather signatures for his proposed party in Rakiraki, Tavua, Ba, Lautoka, Nadi and Sigatoka.
He said he is happy with the good turnout in the areas he visited to gather the signatures.
Fijivillage has witnessed Bainimarama travelling in a hired taxi, a hired bus and other hired vehicles.
Taking his leave, he was travelling in the hired blue bus without any government vehicles and bodyguards.
Last Thursday, he was gathering signatures in Laucala Beach during his lunch break.
He arrived in a taxi without any government vehicles or bodyguards.
The same was done when he launched his proposed party earlier this month.
He is also expected to personally visit the interior of Viti Levu this Saturday.
Bainimarama is expected to go to Nausori village, Bukuya, Nasivikoso and Bemana.
