The Fiji Police have raised concern with the number of incidents involving children.
This comes after two primary school students were allegedly sexually assaulted by a mini bus driver last Saturday.
Police Spokesperson Fred Elbourne said the incident happened in Tailevu and it is alleged the mini bus driver asked the two girls aged 10 and 13 years, if they wanted to go for a joyride.
Elbourne said it is alleged the minibus driver took the girls to a secluded area and allegedly assaulted them.
Elbourne said the two girls managed to escape and report the matter to the police.
He said with school coming to an end, parents and guardians need to monitor their children.
Meanwhile, an 11 month old baby died after he fell into a bucket full of water in Ra on Monday while in another case an 11 year old school student got washed away while playing near a creek in Vatukoula and a four year old drowned while playing with his siblings in a drain in Reba Circle Nadera on Saturday.
