Around half a million US dollars will be generated through the granting of a Permit to Mine manganese for Viti Mining Limited in the initial export stages alone.
This is according to Viti Mining Limited Chairman John Sanday while highlighting how international prospective buyers are already showing interest.
Sanday said those who also stand to benefit from this world class maganese is the village of Nasaucoko, Namosi where the mine site is located.
Currently members of the village starting out at the mines earn around $120 a week and this is expected to increase when manganese mining moves into full production.
Meanwhile, Viti Mining Limited recently purchased a 4.2 acre block of land inside the Lautoka Port which will be used as stockpiling and final grading space of ores.
