6 local teams eyed for Uprising 7s

Organizers of next month’s Uprising Fiji International 7s are looking at having six local teams at the tournament that will be held in Suva next month.

Coordinator Randall Kamea said Navy is the latest local side that has confirmed their participation alongside Uprising and Army.

Kamea added they are looking at getting three more local teams.

Meanwhile, Kamea said they expect to finalize the final list of teams to take part after the festive season.

Teams participating are from Fiji, Samoa, Tonga, New Caledonia, Samurai International, New Zealand Maori, US Grizzlies, France Development and Ponsonby club, alongside two local clubs, Uprising and Nadroga.

The Uprising Fiji International 7s will be held on the 21st and 22nd of next month at the TFL Stadium.
