Former Labour Parliamentarian Passes Away

A former Labour Party parliamentarian, Anand Babla has passed away in India due to long illness.

53yr old Babla first entered parliament in 1992 after winning his seat in Tavua and was a hostage in the 2000 coup.

Arrangements are currently underway to bring his body back to Fiji from India where he went for medical treatment.

Babla is survived by his wife and three children.
