Pita Driti appears in court
Pita Driti appeared in court yesterday facing two counts of uttering seditious comments and one count of inciting mutiny.

His lawyer Filimoni Vosarogo told Suva Magistrate Alofa Seruvatu that he has received the full disclosure from the DDP's office and needed time.

Magistrate Seruvatu gave Vosarogo fourteen days to reply to the submissions.

Driti is to reappear in court on the 22nd of July.

Meanwhile, Driti was charged along with Ratu Tevita Uluilakeba Mara who has fled the country.

The Fiji Government has filed extradition papers in Tonga and New Zealand so that Ratu Tevita faces up to the charges laid against him.
