Six resolutions have been endorsed by the Cakaudrove Provincial Council with the main one being the endorsement of the province’s support for the Government.
Roko Tui Cakaudrove Ratu Aca Mataitini said the Tui Cakau Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu has stressed to the 40 chiefs and to the representatives from the 15 tikinas that the Province needs to change their view on the current leadership and the chiefs have to respect any changes brought about by the Government.
This is after the Tui Cakau revealed that he has changed his approach and now supports the Government.
Ratu Mataitini said the Tui Cakau in a chiefly manner asked the representatives to back the Government.
After the two day meeting which is expected to end tomorrow, the Tui Cakau along with the Chairman of the Provincial Council Emitai Boladuadua and the Roko Tui Cakaudrove will make an appointment with the Prime Minister to hold a meeting with him.
