Violence against children cuts across all boundaries and occurs in different forms and therefore child Protection Policies and enforcement of law are important for the prevention of child abuse.
These are the words of Save the Children Fiji Chief Executive Officer, Chandra Shekhar who said these issues are important to make immediate and lasting improvements in the lives of the children and these issues will be highlighted at a two day symposium that starts this morning.
Shekhar said the symposium is aimed to provide opportunities for Save the Children and stakeholders to meet, share information and exchange experiences, and inform the strategic partners of the programs undertaken by Save the Children, and what more it aims to achieve for the children of Fiji.
Issues such as Commercial Sexual Exploitation and Sexual Abuse of Children in Fiji will be highlighted during the two day symposium.
